When I joined the Rotaract, I said in my tenure that I would be available to help, in the best way possible, the community and the Praia Grande’s Rotaract Club. It's in this spirit that I speak, now as president of this wonderful club that is the Praia Grande’s Rotaract Club, a Club made of "feet-on-the-sand-people" which is proud of its history and achievements.

Quando ingressei no Rotaract, disse em minha posse que estaria a disposição para ajudar da melhor forma possível a comunidade e o Rotaract Club de Praia Grande. E é com esse espirito que vos falo, agora como presidente desse club maravilho que é o Rotaract Club de Praia Grande, um clube de gente pé na areia que orgulha-se de sua história e conquistas.

In my first month on Rotaract, I wanted to show everyone my willpower to help people and collaborate in the countless ongoing projects. I remember the smile of the kids when they were benefited by the project "Natal Solidário" (Solidarity Christmas), where we helped in the gifts delivery, handing over 200 toys, and the joy that I always received from those same kids every time I visit them and they identify my Rotaract’s locket.

Em meu primeiro mês no Rotaract quis mostrar a todos toda a minha força de vontade em ajudar o próximo e colaborar nos inúmeros projetos em andamento. Recordo dos sorrisos das crianças que foram beneficiadas pelo projeto Natal Solidário onde ajudamos na entrega da doação de mais de 200 brinquedos e da alegria em que sempre sou recebido por essas mesmas crianças todas as vezes que as visito e elas identificam em mim o pin do Rotaract.

Comrades, it is with this same spirit of collaboration, developing myself personally and professionally, as well as helping other people, that I am the president of this club. It has been more than 2 years since I am part of this Rotaractian family, and I can notice in my comrades values such as friendship, leadership and compassion. These are values gifted from God to every human being. Making good use of these gifts is what drives us in this Rotaractian year.

Companheiros, é com o mesmo espirito de colaborar, desenvolver-me pessoalmente e profissionalmente, bem como ajudar o próximo, que hoje estou como presidente deste clube. Dentro de poucos mais de 2 anos que faço parte da família rotaria pude observar em meus companheiros valores como a amizade, a liderança e a compaixão. Valores estes que são presentes dados por Deus a todos os seres humanos. Fazer o bom uso destes presentes é o que nos motiva nesse ano rotário.

The weight seems huge at first time. However, when seeing the associates of this traditional Praia Grande’s club, which contains over 37 years of history, together and united around a common goal, we realize the value of the International Rotary president’s words: “We all have the option to keep ours gifts to ourselves, or use them to Be a Gift to the world. This is our moment”. Comrades from Praia Grande’s Rotaract Club and from Kathmandu’s Rotaract Club, “Let’s take this opportunity with everything we got. Let’s be a Gift to the whole World!”

O peso nos parece imenso, no primeiro momento. Mas, ao ver todos os sócios deste tradicional club de Praia Grande com mais de 37 anos de história juntos e unidos em torno de um mesmo objetivo, percebemos o valor das palavras do nosso presidente do Rotary Internacional: “Todos nós temos a opção de guardar nossos presentes para nós mesmos ou de usá-los para Ser um Presente para o Mundo. Este é o nosso momento.” Companheiros do Rotaract Club de Praia Grande e do Rotaract Club de Kathmandu, “Vamos agarrar esta oportunidade com unhas e dentes. Sejamos um Presente para o Mundo!"
